Chocolove Almonds & Sea Salt in Dark Chocolate candy bar. I found these Chocolove bars at a nearby French cafe, but then discovered that they have them for cheaper at Whole Foods, as well as many other places. They have lots of flavors — coffee crunch in dark chocolate and cherries & almonds in dark chocolate are also good — but the almonds & sea salt is my favorite. I’m a dark chocolate gal, and the sea salt adds a great kick. Around $2.69/bar at Whole Foods. You can also buy them in cases of 6 or 12 online.
Trader Joe’s Danish Pancakes. Simply put — and excuse my language — these are fucking delicious. They’re soft inside and have a hint of lemon flavor. It says to sprinkle powdered sugar and serve with maple syrup or jam. I eat them with Nutella. Around $3-4 at Trader Joe’s.
Jurlique Eye Makeup Remover. I’ve raved about Jurlique’s hand cream here before. There was a sale recently on their site, so in addition to stocking up on hand cream, I purchased a bunch of new products to try. This eye makeup remover is my favorite by far. I have a thing about stuff getting into my eyes. If even a little eye makeover remover gets in my eyes, they start to sting. But Jurlique’s is so creamy and gentle, it feels like I’m applying soothing lotion to my eyelids. I just put some on a cotton pad and swipe. It also helps get my under-eye concealer off. $25 at Jurlique.
Remington Wet 2 Straight. I can’t believe I wasn’t using a hair straightener with curved panels before. I have naturally wavy hair with ends that flip out, but I like to wear my hair in a bob. I used to have a flat hair straightener, but I’ve found that this curved one works so much better with my hair, smoothing it out and curving the ends in (or out, if you prefer). The curved panels also help add volume. (I would lose a lot of volume with my flat straightener.) Bonus: It works with wet or dry hair. $29.99 at Ulta.
The Whole Earth Organic Kettle Corn. Warning: Is crazy addictive. I’m not a fan of regular popcorn, so I’ve always been more of a kettle corn person. Found this at Ralph’s, 2 for $4, and it is delicious! Also, not horribly bad for you!
Trader Joe’s Chocolate Dilemma Cheesecake. The cheesecake that made me go, “Hmm, maybe I do like cheesecake, after all.” One box has four delicious flavors — plain, tuxedo, chocolate chip and triple chocolate. About $7 (can’t remember the exact price right now) at Trader Joe’s.
“The Great Gatsby” Kindle Cover by Kate Spade. I actually don’t own this because a.) I don’t own a Kindle, and b.) it costs almost as much as a Kindle. But I covet it so bad. I want it more than the Kindle. $85 — yes, you read that right — at Amazon.
Panache Double Dark Chocolate Cocoa. When I was in college, my cousin sent me a care package with the double dark chocolate, raspberry mocha and hazelnut praline cocoas. Sadly, the last two have been discontinued. I don’t like super sweet cocoa, so the double dark chocolate is perfect for me. I stocked up and bought a bag in case this flavor is discontinued too. $7.99-$54.99 at My Gourmet Cafe.
d.j.v. beautenizer Fiberwig LX. The best mascara I have ever used. Gives the effect of false lashes without the mess. $24 at Sephora.
Trader Joe’s Organic Lollipops. They come in five delicious flavers — watermelon, pomegranate, orange, lemon, and raspberry — and are only 70 calories per 3 pops. A delicious treat! $2.99 for a container of about 27 at Trader Joe’s.
